Second Sunday of Easter
Gospel John 20:19-31 Our faith is grounded in the witness of the apostles. This witness had its origins in an overwhelming experience: a meeting, against all their expectations, with the final achievement in God’s work of creation, the greatness of the Risen Lord. Happy are those who have not seen and yet believe Teacher Background Image: Religious Easter - AnnaliseArt - https://pixabay.com/images/id-4035398/ |

Pope Francis Pilgrimage: Covid 19
Pope Francis took a brief walking pilgrimage in the empty streets of Rome in March, and prayed for an end to the coronavirus pandemic during a surprise visit to both the Basilica of St. Mary Major and a cross that traversed Rome during a 16th century plague. The pope also prayed for healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, and those working to keep society functioning while many are under forced or voluntary quarantine. https://www.ncregister.com/daily-news/pope-francis-makes-walking-prayer- pilgrimage-for-coronavirus-pandemic Image: Pope Francis visits San Marcello al Corso to pray for all affected by the coronavirus pandemic, March 15, 2020. Pray in uncertain times
Lord, it’s scary to change. It’s frightening to let go of what I know so well and step into the unknown. However, I forget sometimes that I am not stepping out alone. Nor am I stepping into an unsafe place, I am going where You guide and where You are. Help me to trust in You even when I feel unsure or scared. Thank you for being there for me in this way, Amen. https://spirituallyhungry.com/prayer-for-change/ Image: alone- geralt - https://pixabay.com/images/id-2754908/ |

Anzac Day (25 April)
Remember, O Lord, all those the brave and the true, who have died the death of honour and are departed in the hope of the resurrection to eternal life. In that place of light from which sorrow and mourning are far banished, give them rest, O Lord, thou lover of men. And grant to us who remain the spirit of service which may make us worthy of their sacrifice, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. https://anzacday.org.au/prayers-for-anzac-day-services Image: Australia - bectownsend - https://pixabay.com/images/id-1368711/ |
