Going on a God Hunt (for younger students but could be adapted for older students)
Find a place outdoors and invite students to be still - absolutely still. Ask them to look around and name in their minds what they can see/hear.  Take some deep breaths and
imagine what it is like to be that leaf, that tree, that insect, that rock, that cloud ... Use this activity to lead students to an awareness of the world God has created. Write a litany of thanksgiving as a response. Take photos to accompany the litany.

Father’s Day Ritual

Nooma
Rain
Rob Bell tells the story of being caught in torrential rain with his baby son. The baby begins to cry out and is comforted by the way his father holds him tightly against his heart and whispers gently to him “I love you.” He talks about the storms of life that we encounter and how God will respond to us if we cry out. God is always there to hold us, to encircle us with love and to protect us.  A beautiful reflection for Father’s Day.
