The Rosary of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. Where does the word come from? It comes from a Latin word Rosaria, which means a crown of roses or a garden of roses. It grew up in the second millennium of Christianity, particularly in Western Christianity around the 14th century. It's attributed to Saint Dominic.

World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation
All-powerful God, you are present in the whole universe and in the smallest of your creatures. You embrace with your tenderness all that exists. Pour out upon us the power of your love, that we may protect life and beauty. Amen Image: Spring - Shirley810 - https://pixabay.com/images/id-110671/ |

On 5th September 1997, Mother Teresa died in Calcutta, India.
Her holiness and her love for the poor were known all over the world. Tens of thousands of men and women, who join in her work, are called the Missionaries of Charity. They serve the sick and dying who have no one ever to care for them, bringing God’s love to forgotten corners of crowded cities. Mother Teresa made a solemn promise to give ‘wholehearted and authentic service to the poorest of the poor’. She was canonised as Saint Teresa of Calcutta on 4th September 2016. Prayer God of love, You call us to be followers of your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to love with all our hearts. May we find joy in remembering the needs of our sisters and brothers. May we learn what will bring us true life. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen. Father’s Day
Prayer: God our Father, in your wisdom and love You made all things. Bless these men, that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honour them always with a spirit of profound respect. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
