Gratitude
Read this story from Luke, about gratitude and exclusion. The lepers in the story represent people excluded from society and the Church. It is a call to each of us to recognise our blessings and give thanks to God Image: Jesus heals - falco - https://pixabay.com/images/id-753815/ |

Saint Callistus I
A Christian slave of Rome, Callistus was ordained deacon by Pope St. Zephyrinus, whom he succeeded as pope in the year 217. As deacon he was guardian of the Christian cemetery on the Appian Way which is still known by his name. While he vigorously opposed heresy, his charitable attitude toward repentant sinners incurred the wrath of contemporary rigorists. Pray for those who have died: Let perpetual light shine upon them, with your Saints for ever, for you are merciful. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord Image: Sun - Marys_fotos - https://pixabay.com/images/id-3130638/ |

Saint Teresa of Jesus
Foundress of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Born in Catalonia, Spain, she overcame many difficulties in her youth and eventually became a teacher at Lerida. Desirous to enter the religious life, she failed to win entry into the convent at the advice of her spiritual director, decided to launch her own congregation, Little Sisters of the Poor. At the time of death she had more than fifty houses for her congregation. Beatified in 1958, she was canonized in 1974 by Pope VI. Pray: St. Teresa of Jesus Jornet, please pray for us, and for the lonely elderly of our world. Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque
St Margaret Mary Alacoque was a French Roman Catholic Visitation nun and mystic, who promoted devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in its modern form. Pray: Saint Margaret Mary, thou who wast made a partaker of the divine treasures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, obtain for us, we beseech thee, from this adorable Heart, the graces we need so sorely. We ask these favours of thee with unbounded confidence. May the divine Heart of Jesus be pleased to bestow them upon us through thy intercession, so that once again He may be loved and glorified through thee. Amen.
