REMEMBRANCE DAY 100TH ANNIVERSARY
Visit the Australian War Memorial site below
COMMEMORATING THE CENTENARY OF THE ARMISTICE
PRAYER
God of time and history;
of present and of future.
As we mark a century since the war it was said would end all wars
we turn to you for guidance and support.
Help us, in our human frailty, to be the people you would have us be.
May we respond to human need through loving service,
bursting through the walls of our institutions
to reach out with unconditional love.
Kindle your love within us
that we may be your light in the world
and channels of your peace.

Prayer
Let us pray today for all those who are in need. Try composing some intercessions for people who require special prayers today. For example: That those in our local community who work to feed the poor and hungry will be supported generously. In your mercy- All: Lord, hear our prayer. Finish with this prayer- Lord Jesus, may our hearts be filled with compassion and love as we reach out to others in need. In your name we pray. All: Amen. Image by E Fort. Used with permission. |
