Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe
Luke 23:35-43
Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.
In today’s Gospel the good thief simply asks Jesus to ‘remember me’. Jesus tells him that being remembered by God is paradise. It’s a wonderful way to understand the Kingship of Christ. We know that Christ our King is not about earthly power, land, buildings, riches or might. We know Jesus’ Kingship is not about lording it over us, or making us frightened of his compassionate judgment. The power of Christ the King is seen in his memory, holding every person in this world close; calling each one of us by name. (Richard Leonard SJ)

Prayer Walk or Pilgrimage
Take a prayer walk in the school and parish grounds. Stop to reflect and pray at icons, statues, images, art work, prayer garden, in the chapel or the Church.

View a Good Day gratefulness.org and reflect on the gift of today. Invite students to compile a personal/group/class list of things to be grateful for. Respond to the question “how can I make today a good day?”

Thursday
24TH NOVEMBER
Memorial of Sts Andrew Dung-Lac, priest and companions (martyrs)
Remembered as representatives of the thousands of Christians tortured and martyred in Vietnam between the 17th and 19th century.  Pray for courage and protection for all who are affected by violence.

Friday
25TH NOVEMBER
White Ribbon Day 
White Ribbon is Australia’s only national, male led Campaign to end men’s violence against women.
Pray that all women may live in safety free from all forms of men's violence. Write prayers on white ribbons and hang on the Class Prayer Tree.
